- The conditions of use of businesslaw.sg are detailed below. These conditions bind all who visit and/or access the businesslaw.sg website, including all subscribers (Users). Users who have registered and paid for a fixed period subscription (Subscribers) are also bound by these conditions. Unless otherwise stated, in these Legal Notices, the term “Users” includes Subscribers. These conditions may be revised by the owner of the businesslaw.sg website, CommAsia Resources Pte Ltd (Singapore incorporated company registration number: 199902702M) (CAR) and uploaded on this website without specific notice being given to anyone. Continued use and/or access of the businesslaw.sg website constitutes deemed acceptance by Users of the conditions applicable on the date of such use and/or access.
Intellectual property
- CAR owns all intellectual property rights over all content found in businesslaw.sg and CAR grants each User a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use businesslaw.sg on the conditions set out here.
- All businesslaw.sg material is protected by copyright. No commercial use of businesslaw.sg material, in whole or part, is permitted unless prior written permission is received from CAR. - All Users are deemed to acknowledge CAR's copyright in the content of businesslaw.sg and undertake not to infringe this copyright. This includes, but is not limited to, copying by any means whatsoever any portion of businesslaw.sg, or storing, saving and integrating same into any electronic device or environment, for the purpose of private or commercial use. If such infringement occurs, the User concerned undertakes to indemnify CAR for all damage, loss and expenses (including CAR's legal fees) which reasonably arise from such infringement.
- Online access to the study guides on businesslaw.sg is granted to each Subscriber through the issuing of a personal userid and password. Subscriber access is granted for a limited period of six months from the date of payment of subscription (or such other period specified by CAR applicable to the Subscriber). Limitation of liability

In no event shall CAR, its employees or agents be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential losses resulting from the use of the businesslaw.sg website.
- Links to other web sites are provided by CAR in good faith and for information only. CAR disclaims any responsibility for the materials contained in any website linked to the businesslaw.sg website.
Subscriptions
- Subscriptions to businesslaw.sg are not transferable. The userid and password issued to a Subscriber is only to be used by that Subscriber and must not be disclosed to or used by any other person. Any infringement of this condition can result in the subscription being terminated immediately by CAR and the balance of the subscription payment forfeited to CAR.
- Each Subscriber, by using or accessing businesslaw.sg, is deemed to agree to the terms of the Legal Notices on the businesslaw.sg website.
Privacy policy
- CAR is committed to protecting the privacy of Subscribers. The policy below explains how this is done.
- For the purposes of subscribing to a study guide offered on businesslaw.sg, CAR asks for the name, email address, geographical address and other personal information relating to the Subscriber.
- From time to time CAR may ask for further information concerning a Subscriber or User, for example if the User makes a purchase or enters a competition.
- CAR may also use cookies. Cookies are small files which many websites transfer to a User’s hard disk. They can inform the website what pages the User visits, and the User's preferences, which enable websites to provide the User with a more personalised service. - CAR does not sell a Subscriber’s personal information to others. CAR may share a Subscriber’s personal information with CAR’s associated companies, affiliates and partners, including CAR's technology consultants.
- A number of other websites may have links to the businesslaw.sg site. If a User links to these other sites, these sites may collect information, and such sites are not within CAR's control and are not covered by this Privacy Policy. If a User signs up for products or services that are managed or offered by other websites or organisations, such websites or organisations will obtain the User’s personal information.
- If CAR believes that a User’s use of the businesslaw.sg site is unlawful or damaging to others, CAR reserves the right to disclose the information CAR has obtained through the site about the User to the extent that it is reasonably necessary in CAR’s opinion to prevent, remedy or take action in relation to such conduct.

Interactive material

- CAR reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to review, edit or delete any material posted by Users which CAR deems defamatory, unlawful, threatening, obscene or otherwise objectionable. Notwithstanding the foregoing, CAR expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for any material communicated by third parties through this businesslaw.sg website.
Governing law and jurisdicion
- This businesslaw.sg website and all contracts, disputes and other legal rights or obligations which arise therefrom are governed by the laws of Singapore. All Users and CAR are deemed to have voluntary consented to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore in respect of any dispute which arises from any use of or subscription for material on this website.
